Meet the Founder
Derek MacFarlane
Founder, The Family Resource Circle

I've lived in Zionsville since I was five years old, and I've seen firsthand what makes the northern Indianapolis area such a special place to live, work and raise a family. The local businesses, community organizations and people who genuinely care about families are a big part of what makes Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Fishers and Noblesville so highly regarded.

At the same time, I know that moving to a new area, or simply finding reliable local information while managing a busy family schedule, can feel overwhelming. I created The Family Resource Circle to make that process easier, so current and future local families can find useful community information, family-friendly activities and businesses that are passionate about serving families.

As a wealth advisor, I have the privilege of educating families on financial literacy and helping them plan for the moments that matter most. I'm also grateful to stay involved locally, serving as Finance Chair and on the Endowment Committee at Zionsville United Methodist Church, and on the Butler University Young Alumni Board.

I truly enjoy helping people, and I want The Family Resource Circle to make a positive difference for families across the area. Please feel free to reach out if I can ever be a resource for you or your family.
